Understanding how fluids
modify the Earth’s crust.

Fluids and Earth’s crust
Fluids play a critical role in how the Earth’s crust evolves and changes its chemistry. They control heat and mass transfer, mineral reactions, deformation, and many other processes that happen deep down the Earth.
Although large-scale fluid shallows in the upper crust are increasingly well understood, the behaviour of fault-scale fluids in these tectonic settings remains relatively poorly understood. That’s where we come in!
Critical Raw Materials
Critical Raw Materials are those that currently have no substitutes with current technologies, and which most consumer countries are dependent upon.
Many of these raw materials are formed beneath the Earth’s crust, thanks to the movement and the physical and chemical interactions between the aqueous geofluids and rocks in the Earth’s upper crust.
